No, we do not charge a fee for posting tutorials on our site. 


Is there a fee to register an account with TUTORCARE?

No, there is no fee to register an account with TUTORCARE. At TUTORCARE, we are committed to making the registration process as quick and easy as possible. It only takes a few steps to complete our registration process.


Is there a fee to ask a question? 

No, we do not charge a fee for posting questions on our site.  


Is there a fee to contact the TUTORCARE Customer Service Team for help?

Is there a fee to request a paycheck or request to be paid?

No, we do not charge a fee to request your paycheck. However, we recommend all members check with their financial institutions regarding their fee to receive payment from TUTORCARE. 


What is an effective research-based curriculum? 

An effective research-based curriculum is a curriculum that has been researched and has proven its effectiveness in improving students' skills and/or increasing the passing rate on state exams. 


How can I choose the best learning curriculum for my child? 

At TUTORCARE, we make it easy to help you choose the best learning curriculum for your child. In the initial tutoring session, our TUTORCARE tutor will provide an examination to test your child's strengths and weaknesses. Once the results of the exam are confirmed, our Education Manager will discuss them with you directly to help you choose the best learning curriculum tailored to your child's needs.


How much does a curriculum cost?

A curriculum generally costs about $50 per subject. However, depending on each student's needs, one curriculum may contain more materials than another. If you would like to receive a FREE effective research-based curriculum, please call us toll free at 1-855-HW-HELPS (1-855-494-3577) and ask us about our Long-Term Tutoring Contract program. Our Customer Service Team is available to help you anytime. 


How does a Long-Term Tutoring Contract work?  

TUTORCARE will provide two (2) hours of tutoring sessions per week for at least 6 months.  


What are the benefits of Long-Term Tutoring Contract? 

For any student enrolled in our Long-Term Tutoring Contract, TUTORCARE will provide FREE access to a proven effective research-based curriculum, 20 FREE TUTORCARE Credits to ask any homework questions or purchase academic tutorials and a FREE background check to help find a qualified and trustworthy tutor. Furthermore, an Education Manager is also assigned to help review progress reports and make recommendations for improved learning.

How does As-Needed Tutoring Appointment work?

If you need tutoring for a short period of time or would just like to schedule one session at a time, our single tutoring sessions can be scheduled online through our discussion boards. Simply contact your tutor of choice to begin.


What are Supplemental Education Services?

Supplemental Education Services are free tutoring services available under the No Child Left Behind Act that are offered to underperforming students. SES services are provided outside the regular school day to offer these students extra help in academic subjects such as language arts, mathematics and science. 


What does “TUTORCARE is a Florida-Approved Education Provider” mean? 

As of 2012, TUTORCARE has been approved by Florida Department of Education to provide Supplemental Education Services to underperforming students in the entire state of Florida. TUTORCARE's mission is to combine our efforts with school administrators and teachers to close achievement gaps and enable these students to excel academically.


How do I know if I am eligible for Supplemental Education Services? 

To find out if you are eligible for Supplemental Education Services, please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-855-HW-HELPS (1-855-494-3577). We always welcome your questions and comments. 


What does "Earned Credits" mean? 

"Earned Credits" are the number of credits that you have received for answering homework questions, posting tutorials and providing in-person or online tutoring sessions. 


What does "Purchased Credits" mean? 

"Purchased Credits" are the number of credits that you have bought. 


Where are my purchased answers stored? 

Your purchased answers are stored in the Questions & Answers section of your membership dashboard. 


Where are my purchased tutorials stored? 

Your purchased tutorials are stored in the Tutorials section of your membership dashboard.


What do I do if I am having problems with my account? 

Please contact our Customer Service Department immediately at Customer.Service@TUTORCARE.com. We'll help you as soon as possible. When you contact us, please include a description of your problems so that we can address them quicker.  


How does the TUTORCARE Referrals service work? 

Our Referrals service makes it easy for you to refer a friend or a family member. Simply complete our Referrals form, and we’ll send an invitation email to your friends so they can start using our site. Once your friends make their first purchase or receive their first tutoring paycheck, we will add 10 FREE credits to your "Purchased Credits" account. You can use these credits to purchase any tutoring services that TUTORCARE offers. 


When will I receive TUTORCARE credits for my referral? 

You will receive 10 FREE TUTORCARE credits within 7 days after your friends make their first purchases or receive their first tutoring paychecks.


Is there a maximum number of friends that I can refer? 

No, there is no maximum number of friends that you can refer. The more you refer, the more TUTORCARE credits you will earn. 


Is there a fee to apply for a tutoring position with TUTORCARE? 

No, we do not charge a fee to apply for a tutoring position with TUTORCARE. We welcome all professionals, educators and highly qualified students to become a part of our TUTORCARE Tutor Team.   


What can I do if someone gave me a bad review?  

We are very sorry about the issue and would love to work with you to solve it.  Please send an email to us at Customer.Service@TUTORCARE.com. When you contact us, please include your username and a description of your issue to help facilitate our process.

I saw the term "Tutor Rating" on a tutor's profile. What does that mean? 

On tutor's profile, Tutor Rating (ranging from 1 to 5 stars) is the average of past review ratings from previous customers who received online and in-person tutoring assistance from the selected tutor. 


I saw the term "Answer Rating" on a tutor's profile. What does that mean? 

Answer Rating refers to the evaluation of the quality of tutorials and answers posted by the tutor.


I gave someone a bad review. How do I change it?

Please send an email to us at Customer.Service@TUTORCARE.com with your username, the name of the tutorial/answer/tutoring session that you gave a bad review to, the username of the tutor and the new rating you would like to give. We will remove your old review and replace it with your new rating. 


How can I earn more FREE TUTORCARE credits? 

You can earn more FREE TUTORCARE credits by referring your friends or family members to our online learning community. Our TUTORCARE site offers services to help improve grades or earn income as a tutor. Once your friends make their first purchases on TUTORCARE or receive their first tutoring paychecks, we will add 10 FREE credits to your account. You can use these credits to purchase any tutoring services that TUTORCARE offers. 


Where are my Free TUTORCARE Credits stored? 

You will receive 10 FREE TUTORCARE credits within 7 days after your friends make their first purchases on our site or receive their first tutoring paychecks. These credits will be added to your Purchased Credits account so that you can use them to request any tutoring services that TUTORCARE offers.


Is there a fee to contact a TUTORCARE tutor via the discussion board? 

No, we do not charge a fee for contacting a TUTORCARE tutor via our discussion board. 


What are some tips for safety?  

1. Request a background check 
Before hiring a tutor, we strongly recommend you conduct a background check on your selected tutor. The background check generally covers local law enforcement, statewide criminal record repositories, state department of correction records, state parole and probation records, local public records and a professional picture of your selected tutor. The background check costs a flat fee of $10.

2. Review the Tutor's Rating
On each tutor's profile, a Tutor Rating (ranging from 1 to 5 stars) will appear. This is the averaged review rating from previous customers who received online and in-person tutoring assistance from the selected tutor. 
The Answer Rating is the averaged rating of tutorials and answers posted by the tutor. 

3. Schedule an Online Tutoring Session
Another safety measure to protect your safety is to schedule an online tutoring session with your selected tutor. With the online tutoring session, you can speak with the tutor and assess whether the selected tutor is the best fit for you or your child. 

4. Meet in a Public Location
To protect your safety, we recommend you schedule your first tutoring session with the selected tutor in a public location such as a local library. 

5. Safety for Underage Students 
Our TUTORCARE policy requires at least one parent or guardian to be present at the time of the tutoring session for students who are under the age of 18. If there is no parent or guardian present at the time of tutoring session, the tutoring session MUST stop.
